The Department of Electrical Engineering has been established in the year 2008 to play a vital role in producing technologists of the highest caliber. The department runs undergraduate programmes (Intake - 60 Seats) to cater to the ever-challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electrical Engineering such as Electrical Technology, Electrical Machines, Control & Automation, Power Systems & Power Electronics. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate. The faculty of the Department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting-edge technologies. The Department is very active in teaching and research in the areas of Instrumentation and Signal Processing, Control, Basic Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Sources & Power Plants, Power Electronics and Power Systems, Transmission Line, Microelectronics, Electrical Drives, PLC & SCADA, Automation, and Electrical Circuit Analysis. The Department has strong Industry interaction and has been involved in the development of state-of-art products for modern Automation Industries.
