On March 19, 2023, a group of students from the Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering departments, along with faculty members, embarked on an industrial visit to Bhakra Dam and Ganguwal Powerhouse. The visit was intended to provide students with practical exposure to the operation and maintenance of large-scale hydraulic structures and power generation facilities. The students witnessed the relaying and control systems for hydropower generation. The visit also included paying homage at Naina Devi temple. Around 90 students from the aforementioned departments participated in this visit.

The Mechanical Engineering Department organized an expert talk on – “Industry Expectations from Freshers” for 4th/6th semester students of Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The keynote speaker was Professor (Dr) Vikash Garg, Training Placement Officer, Professor and Head- Department of Civil Engineering at Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh (HR). Through this seminar, the students are made aware of the basic academic skills, interview expectations, and job requirements in order to have a successful career.

Students of batch 2019-23 of Mechanical Engineering make a project entitled “Solar Water Heater”. The project is made keeping sustainability in mind and base on the renewable power source i.e. solar energy. This project is the reflection of student’s theoretical knowledge in to reality. This is a working model which gives out hot water by using solar energy at negligible running cost.
